The texas folklife festival, the utsa institute of texan cultures’ annual celebration of the state’s diverse population, from the alsatians to the wends, runs friday through sunday on the institute’s grounds at hemisfair. Held in san antonio since 1972, it is a vibrant showcase of traditional arts, crafts, and cuisine that reflect the state’s rich cultural diversity.
